MACOBATE offers fixed-wheel gates for all bottom outlets guard gates applications for water dams and irrigation canals.
This type of gates is the most common type of gate that consists of a leaf, wheels, shafts and seals. The leaf is equipped with a series of symmetrically placed wheels that transmits the hydraulic load to the raceway attached to the concrete.
For high load applications, independent wheel carts can be set up to improve the distribution of the hydraulic load on civil works.
Structure
The structure of the leaf is formed of welded horizontal girders and vertical ribs calculated according to the DIN 19704 standard.
The structure of the board comprises in its lateral ends to lockers for the assembly of shafts and rollers which transmit the forces to the stationary parts. These boxes are made in a very precise machining operation which ensures the alignment of the set of rollers.
Sealing systems
The sealing of these gates is made using EPDM rubber seals that come to rely on stainless steel plates mounted on fixed parts embedded in civil engineering.
The seal is made either on 3 side in the case of gate working in free surface flow condition, or 4 side in the case of gates for bottom outlets or water dam intakes.
Actuating mechanism
The hoisting system of these gates is performed by means of hydraulic actuator. This solution represents several advantages:
- The small size
- The ability to maneuver heavy hydraulic load gates
- Ease of maintenance
- The reliability and robustness
